Day 1 : October 9th, 2004
I Finally tried this game called EverQuest 2 today, After 5 hours and half of patching, I finally entered
Beta American Server for the first time. Took me about 15 minutes to create my character, wich I will play during most
of the Beta testing time I will spend in there. Since I played a cleric in the first game, I decided to play similar
class for now. When the game will come out, maybe I will change my mind but for now, I am stuck with the Priest Idea.
I am currently playing on the Beta 1 server, wich is the most popular I should say. There is really a bunch... a BIG bunch
of people there, hehe.
Here is the character I made myself to experience the new Norrathian world for the next few weeks.
I decided to keet her anonymous, for some reason. If you do want to know her, if you are currently Beta
as well, feel free to contact me and I should let you know. Here's Miss. C
At lvl 2, when you appear in the first zone where you can really do something, you are asked to chose
your first sub-class; Mage, Fighter, Priest or Scout.
Around lvl 9, you need to do a special quest to become one of the following classes;
- For Mages: Summonner, Enchanter or Sorcerer.
- For Priests: Cleric, Druid or Shaman.
- For Fighters: Brawler, Warrior or Crusader.
- For Scouts: Bard, Predator or Rogue.
At level 20, you finally chose who you wish to become for the rest of your journey througout Norrath.
I won't list you all the possible classes, since I am not there yet. Probably soon but not tonight, hehe.
From 9 am to 10pm, I passed from lvl1 to lvl13. Did a lot of Quests to get exp and to learn how to
manage the new Quest and tasks options. I only have 1 warning: Try to look around without the
map. You'll get lost way easier with the maps instead of running here and there and find your way. It is really easy
to get LOST in those 2 wonderful, VERY wide citites:
Freeport and Qeynos. ( Sweet screens coming soon )
For now, what I really love about EverQuest 2 is their new engine for graphics and such. Well... who wouldn't
appreciate the new models, new water, new sky... new everything! SoE did a great job with this. (Just
look at the screenshot I took of the new water to see what I mean) It would be lying to say that I don't
experience some lag BUT I do lag even more in Bazaar in EverQuest 1 so, That isn't that bad. Of course, when you get
in a zone where you never been to, and there is 30 people standing still right in front of you, it may take you about 0.30
sec. to get back to normal. Sincerely, only one zone I have been in until now, is really Lagging bad. Everyone have
some problems with the beautiful *Antonica* zone. Sony says they
would fix it soon tho... We'll see about that in the near future, maybe on the next patch this week.

Well, I will get you more screenshots, more news, more beta tests on another day... Heading back on the
game for tonight.
See ya Guys!
Miss C.
